{SUPER EASY} Almond Milk

Homemade Almond Milk

This almond milk recipe couldn't be easier! With only 5 steps, it's sure to change your nut milk game. See the recipe below!

What you need:

  • 1 cup almonds, soaked overnight
  • 4 Β½ - 5 cups filtered water
  • Nut milk bag (can use cheese cloth or kitchen hand towel)
  • Optional: 2 - 3 pitted medjool dates
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cinnamon

What to do:

  1. Place almonds in a bowl and soak overnight (8 hours) in cold water. Add enough water to fully submerge the almonds.
  2. After the almonds are done soaking, drain the water and rinse thoroughly. Add almonds (now considered sprouted almonds) and filtered water to your blender. If you’d like to sweeten your almond milk, add dates. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour the blended almond & water mixture through your nut milk bag and into a bowl. Most of the liquid will easily strain through, but be sure to squeeze the bag to get all of the milk out. You can save the almond pulp to dehydrate to use as almond meal, for homemade granola, or freeze for later use.
  4. If you’d like vanilla and/or cinnamon flavored almond milk, add to your unsweetened or sweetened milk and whisk.
  5. Pour into mason jars (or other reusable containers) and enjoy! Almond milk lasts for around 4-5 days in the fridge.
