What is Nourishment?
We focus on the positives and the good things you are putting into and doing with your body.
Nourishment refers to the things that help us thrive: food, movement, and mind. Tracking nourishment means taking note of what you're eating and what you're doing within these three focus areas. You will receive customized targets for each area and these are what you’re tracking towards each week. Your individual targets are based on your background information and personal goals.
There are 9 categories within food: fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, lean proteins, probiotics, extra, boost, and water. We include examples of foods in each category and offer a convenient serving size method so tracking is simple. Focus is placed on these food groups because we believe they form the foundation of a balanced plate.
There are 5 categories within movement: move, strength, reach, play, and rest. We include examples of activities in each movement category and encourage you to try something new. Your movement targets are achieved on a weekly basis.
This is the one area that does not contain different categories, but instead you choose your favorite positive mind activities and track those on a weekly basis. We include examples of positive mind activities to help you get started.
Putting it Together
How does tracking these areas make a difference? Accountability drives change. When you keep note of the changes you're making and the positive things you're incorporating into your life, you can see (right in front of you!) the progress you're making every day.
